Prayer Shawls

Prayer Shawls are tangible signs of our love and concern for one another. They are a comfort to someone who is going through a rough time such as illness, hospitalization, bereavement, or any other life challenge. They are also offered in times of celebration such as the birth of a child, marriage, or going away to college.  It’s like a warm hug from the community every time it’s used.

Anyone is free to donate or request a Prayer Shawl, regardless of whether you’re a member of St. Peter’s or not. If you know of someone who could benefit from receiving a shawl, please call the parish office at 204-488-8093.

If you’d like to put your knitting or crocheting skills to work, resources including patterns and prayers before beginning can be found at http://www.shawlministry.com. Completed
shawls can be brought to the church building or you can call the office to arrange for pickup.
