Groups & Activities
at St Peter's
There are many opportunities for involvement in the life of St. Peter’s.
This list gives a brief explanation of the function of some of the groups
& committees that meet for fellowship and service to the Parish and wider
community. If you would like more information please contact the Church Office at 488-8093 during office hours.
Altar Guild
Maintains supplies and set up for services.
Bible Discussion
Meets Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
to discuss the readings for the following
Sunday’s Church Service. You may contact the
Church for more information.
Building Maintenance
Attends to general upkeep of the building and grounds.
Casserole Program
Church members are encouraged to prepare casserole dishes. The
casseroles are kept onsite and are distributed to Parishioners
who would benefit from a prepared meal during illness or other difficult
times.
Choir
Sings at 10:30 am Sunday Service; practice every Thursday at 7:30 pm.
Coffee Makers
Make and serve coffee after Sunday worship.
Creation Care
Suggests and implements ways of bringing together our faith and the care
of creation.
Drivers
Arrange transportation to and from Church For those who need a ride.
Faith and Daily Life Committee
Suggests and implements ways of bringing our faith into our lives in a
more meaningful way.
Finance Committee
Prepares the budget for the annual meeting and acts as consultants to
Vestry on financial matters.
Kitchen Guild
Makes sure the kitchen equipment is maintained and is running properly.
Helps instruct new groups in the proper use of the kitchen.
Men’s Breakfast Club
Meets in the Parish Hall at 8:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month
for breakfast and socializing.
Meditation Garden
Cares for the gardens in our outdoor meditation area.
Outreach Committee
Raises awareness and supports projects and efforts outside of St. Peter’s
Parish.
Meets as needed.
Parish Caring Ministries
Coordinates Communion, phoning and other visits to parishioners at home
and in hospitals.
Phoning Committee
Phones members of the parish with information about parish events.
Prayer Chain
The prayer chain is composed of prayerful, committed members of this
parish who will pray for your needs and the needs of the church at any
time. For prayer or information, please contact the Church Office at

Readers
Read the lessons for the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday.
Seniors Group
Meet regularly for social outings.
Greeters & Sidespeople
Greet members of the congregation as they enter the Church for service,
hand out bulletins and collect and count the offertory.
Sunday School
Provides Christian education for children ages 4 to 12 during the 10:30
a.m. service.
Vestry
Members are elected at the Annual Parish
Meeting. Meets once a month to conduct
the business of the church.
Women’s Friendship Group
Meets in the Parish Hall from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. on the third Saturday
of every month for breakfast and fellowship.
Worship Committee
Meets to consider different aspects and forms of worship and to plan special
services.
Youth Group
Youth meet regularly for fun & activities.
